2019 MULTI FAMILY TRENDS

It's hard to miss the growing landscape because it seems that a new Multi Family building is getting built everywhere you look! If you follow the housing crisis in LA or around the country its crazy to see the demand needed for housing and the developers just cant keep up!

We are in an interesting position because we work directly with developers designing the interiors for so many of these buildings and you would be fascinated to know what new amenities they have planned in 2019.

Long gone are the days of boring and stark hallways that lead to a bunch of ugly colored doors. Now Multi Family developers are competing with hotels to have exciting lobbies, cool corridors, and so many amenities. Doggie spa’s are completely common in these new buildings (yes! I said doggie spas) and so are features like multi media rooms, yoga studios and all kinds of cool joint common areas.

Just like in hotel design, we are mixing it up with layers of materials like textured Las Vegas quality wall coverings and awesome lighting. Take a look at some photos below to see a few of the trends we see happening in the multi family world for 2019.

The Broadstone Montane in Denver, is a great example of top of the line ammenities offered in contemporary multi-family projects. Residents can enjoy a drink at a bar or host client meetings in the conference room, all in house and steps away from their units.

Many multi-family projects combine both commercial and residential spaces in one building. Usually, offering restaurants or shopping on the ground level and units above.
